Operations Manager - Alcoholic Drinks Manufacturer

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to lead our production team and drive operational success.

The Role

As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production, strict adherence to quality and safety protocols, and exceptional team performance. This hands-on role demands precise planning, adaptability, and strong leadership to motivate a diverse team while meeting customer requirements and maintaining industry-leading standards. You will play a critical role in optimizing processes, fostering a culture of excellence, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Production Oversight: Manage and coordinate all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring timely production of high-quality beverages that meet customer specifications and regulatory standards.

- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Planning and Execution: Develop and implement precise production schedules, resource plans, and operational strategies to maximize efficiency, minimize waste, and meet deadlines.

- Quality and Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations, safety protocols, and quality control standards, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for operational improvements, implement innovative solutions, and drive cost-effective practices without compromising quality.

- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse operational data, and report on production outcomes to senior management.

- Customer Focus*: Collaborate with customer service team to ensure customer requirements are met consistently and effectively.

Requirements

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of operations management experience in the beverage manufacturing industry or a related field (e.g., food and beverage, FMCG).

- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to maintain accuracy and precision in all operational processes, ensuring flawless execution.

- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing and motivating diverse teams, with a hands-on approach to leadership and team development.

- Planning Expertise: Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, with quick problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of beverage production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations (e.g., BRC,HACCP).

- Forward Thinking: Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges, innovate solutions, and drive long-term operational success.

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, production management software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with automation technologies is an advantage.
