Yard Manager Location: Edinburgh (Murrayburn)Position: PermanentSalary: £36,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE)Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7:15am startAre you an experienced Yard or Warehouse professional with a forklift licence? We’re looking for a confident and proactive Yard Manager to join our busy Builders Merchants in Edinburgh.About the Role:As Yard Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the safe, efficient, and smooth running of our yard operations. Leading a small team, you’ll ensure deliveries and collections are handled promptly, stock is organised, and health & safety standards are always met.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all yard activities, ensuring efficiency and safety
* Manage and motivate a team of yard staff
* Coordinate deliveries, collections, and stock control
* Operate forklifts and ensure proper use of equipment
* Uphold high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
What We’re Looking For:
* Forklift licence – essential
* Previous experience in a builders yard or warehouse
* Confident team leader with strong communication skills
* Organised, reliable, and proactive approach
* Able to work outdoors and handle physical tasks
