Senior Technician
As a Senior Restoration Technician, you will be appointed by our supplier to attend and manage insurance-related claims, acting as a senior on-site representative and technical lead. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality restoration works, overseeing complex cases, and supporting junior technicians where required.
We welcome applications from experienced BDMA-qualified technicians (or equivalent) with a strong background in insurance-led restoration. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, professionalism, and the ability to work autonomously on site.
Key Responsibilities
· Attend insurance claims as the senior technical representative
· Assess damage and determine appropriate mitigation and restoration strategies
· Produce detailed technical reports, including findings, recommendations, and scope of works
· Carry out and oversee mitigation works in line with industry best practice and supplier requirements
· Install, monitor, and manage drying equipment and environmental controls
· Undertake and supervise strip-out works where required
· Lead and carry out mould remediation works
· Perform fire and smoke damage remediation
· Carry out specialist cleaning works, including guano removal and stone cleaning
· Use specialist restoration and cleaning equipment safely and effectively
· Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures
· Provide guidance and on-site support to technicians and trainees
· Liaise professionally with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders on site
Skills and Experience Required
Essential:
· Proven experience in restoration and insurance claim environments
· BDMA qualification (or equivalent)
· Strong technical knowledge of drying, cleaning, and remediation processes
· High standard of written reporting and documentation
· Ability to work independently and manage complex jobs
· Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
· Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff
· Additional industry certifications (e.g. mould, fire, specialist cleaning)
· Strong understanding of insurer and supplier processes
