Alternative Provision Support Trainee – Scarborough

📍 Location: Scarborough
💰 Pay: £14.00 per hour
📆 Start Date: ASAP
📄 Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential for permanent progression)
The Role
As an Alternative Provision Support Trainee, you’ll work closely with pupils in Key Stage 2, 3 & 4, supporting them in both learning and personal development. Your work will focus on preparing students for Post-16 education, further training, and employment, while helping them build confidence, independence, and life skills.
You’ll:
* Provide 1:1 and small‑group support tailored to pupils’ individual needs
* Help students develop social, emotional, and academic skills
* Support a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
* Apply transferable skills from care, youth work, or similar roles
* Learn SEN strategies, behaviour management, and teaching techniques on the job
