I'm recruiting on behalf of a fantastic Pentecostal church in Northampton that’s on the lookout for a Kids Church Team Leader to join their team on a part-time basis (15–20 hours per week).
If you love working with children, enjoy leading and encouraging teams, and bring energy, creativity, and structure to a thriving kids ministry — this could be just the opportunity for you!
About the Church:
The church is a vibrant, multicultural family church based in the heart of Northampton to recruit for an exciting new role. This thriving church community brings together people from over 40 nationalities and all generations, united by a shared desire to follow Jesus — both in His teachings and the way He lived. The church is passionate about creating a place where everyone feels welcome and can truly belong. Their vision is rooted in being a 3-D people: devoted to God through worship, developing others through discipleship, and demonstrating kindness through evangelism. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a church that’s alive with faith, diversity, and purpose.
We’re looking for someone with:
A big heart for children and their families
A gift for organisation and communication
A passion for helping young people grow in their faith through fun, engaging experiences
About the Role:
You’ll be at the heart of the church’s vibrant Sunday kids ministry — leading, shaping, and bringing vision to all that happens in Kids Church. From planning and delivering exciting Sunday sessions to managing rotas, prepping materials, and supporting your volunteer team, you’ll help create a space where kids love to be and faith comes alive (occasional glitter explosions included!).
What We’re Looking For:
A genuine passion for children and a deep desire to see them grow in faith and thrive in life
Experience working with children or serving in a similar ministry context
Strong leadership skills — you can inspire, support, and manage an awesome team of volunteers
Highly organised — you’re on top of rotas, planning, communication, and record-keeping
Comfortable with basic IT — confident using email, documents, church management tools, and planning calendars
A solid understanding of safeguarding, with a commitment to creating a safe, welcoming space for kids
Familiarity with DBS processes (or ready to learn) for both yourself and your team
What You’ll Be Doing:
Leading our Sunday kids’ groups — aiming to make it the best hour of every child’s week
Recruiting, equipping, and encouraging a fantastic team of volunteers
Planning engaging, faith-filled sessions (with plenty of fun and snacks!)
Keeping clear, consistent communication with parents, staff, and church leadership
Ensuring safeguarding practices are fully understood and strictly followed
