Overview
Residence Inn by Marriott provides guests with an experience that goes beyond the check-in/check-out process. Guest Experience Experts take initiative to offer a wide range of services that guide guests during their stay. They are empowered to be in motion and to do what is needed at every moment, whether performing operational tasks, handling guest requests, completing reports, or discussing local events and highlights with guests.
Across all roles, there are fundamentals for success: create a safe work environment, follow company guidelines and procedures, respect confidentiality, protect company assets, maintain quality standards, and ensure that uniform, personal appearance, and communication remain professional. Guest Experience Experts are active and engaged in a variety of tasks (standing, sitting, walking for long periods) and may move, lift, carry, push, and place objects weighing less than 10 pounds without assistance. It is essential that these tasks (and other reasonable tasks as requested) are performed to keep guests satisfied and the hotel operating smoothly.
Responsibilities
* Provide a guest experience that integrates service with operations, guiding guests with a memorable stay.
* Take initiative to offer a broad range of services, respond to guest requests, complete necessary reports, and highlight local events and places of interest.
* Stay active in daily tasks, including moving objects and handling physical tasks as required (lifting and placing items under 10 pounds without assistance).
* Maintain safety, follow guidelines, protect assets, uphold quality standards, and ensure professional appearance and communication at all times.
Qualifications
* Education: Secondary education diploma or equivalent credential (General Educational Development, GED).
* Relevant experience: No prior related experience required.
* Supervisor experience: Not required.
* Licenses or certifications: None required.
