Job Description
For over 60 years, Silverstone has established itself as the UK’s premier motorsport venue, creating a significant heritage worldwide. Currently, with a new 10-year F1 contract, the opening of Escapade Living, and an international standard karting track, the venue is experiencing growth. We are seeking a senior Food & Beverage Manager to oversee our event concessions, develop key relationships with third-party operators, and innovate product and service offerings. The role involves managing profitability, ensuring excellent customer service, and leading a team in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and develop service standards and culture.
* Manage profit & loss accounts, budgets, and forecasting.
* Support operational delivery during live events.
* Coordinate concession assets to meet service levels and KPIs.
* Implement standards, product innovation, and develop supplier relationships.
* Work with partners on event planning, adhering to budgets and sales targets.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety policies.
* Manage equipment and asset audits and requirements.
* Support new project planning and food & beverage innovation.
* Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Team Responsibilities
* Plan staffing, provide mentoring, and conduct performance reviews.
* Lead operational teams, ensuring presentation standards.
* Manage staffing costs and communicate activity plans.
* Lead by example with a hands-on approach.
Performance Responsibilities
* Maintain strong financial management and supplier relationships.
* Develop and review service standards and KPIs.
* Drive product and service innovation.
* Ensure professional event management and communication of issues.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Knowledge of health & safety, food safety, and licensing regulations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality management systems.
* Excellent communication skills in English.
* Ability to work under pressure, organized, with attention to detail.
* Full UK driving license and Level three Food hygiene certificate.
* Understanding of HACCP and COSHH.
* Leadership qualities and sector knowledge.
* Personal License holder.
