Putlands Veterinary Surgery - Head Registered Veterinary Nurse
Putlands Veterinary Surgery is a mixed practice located in Paddock Wood, Kent. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional care to pets, farm animals, and equines, serving our community with dedication. Our diverse patient base offers our nursing team opportunities to develop a broad range of skills and qualifications.
We are seeking a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to lead our passionate, close-knit team for 40 hours per week. The working hours are between Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm, and Saturday, 8am to 12noon. Flexibility on days can be discussed, with a requirement to work 2 Saturdays in 7, with time off in lieu. This is a fixed-term position starting in August 2025 for 12 months, covering maternity leave.
We encourage innovative ideas for our nursing team and support their development. The ideal candidate will have a clinical qualification or management experience to guide the team forward. As a nurse training practice, we seek someone willing to act as a clinical coach for SVNs; training will be provided if needed.

Candidate requirements:
* RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
* Proven general practice skills and surgical experience
* Willingness to learn and develop
* Clinical coaching experience or interest (preferred)
* Strong focus on exceptional patient care
* Team player with excellent communication skills
* Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others
* Positive and enthusiastic approach
* Strong organisational and attention-to-detail skills
* Ability to handle difficult situations tactfully
* Ability to balance study and work commitments
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
