Occupational Therapist
Location
Riseley Green School – Berkshire RG7 1QF, with cross‑site work to support a new OFG school opening in September 2026 (details yet to be confirmed).
Salary
Up to £53,200 FTE, plus £3,000 welcome bonus (paid in two instalments: £1,500 after one month and £1,500 after final probation).
Hours
37.5 hours per week, 8:30 am–4:30 pm, Monday–Friday.
Contract
Permanent (term time only, with possible flexibility for full‑time contract based on personal circumstances).

The Role
Work with the education team to deliver occupational therapy interventions for pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neuro‑divergent, or have socio‑emotional and mental‑health needs. Support the delivery of Occupational Therapy provision on students’ Educational, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs), contributing to staff training and providing consultation. Manage a whole‑school approach, embedding clinical practice and working under the Occupational Therapy Ways of Working. The role includes cross‑site work and supports staff training.
Essential Criteria
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
* Valid and up‑to‑date HCPC registration
* Registered member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists
* Experience providing OT services in a similar setting (preferred)
* Experience working with neuro‑divergent and/or learning‑difficulty and/or socio‑emotional and mental‑health needs
* Sound knowledge and clinical understanding of OT theory and its practical application to support independence
* Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or services within the special education sector (preferred)
* Ability to work independently, flexibly and confidently
* Clear and concise report‑writing skills
* Interest in sensory integration or sensory‑informed practice (SI training in progress or completed is preferred)
