Our Campus Service Assistants are committed to delivering outstanding cleaning, and support the portering team with a strong focus on customer care.
The role
The University is looking for staff to join our busy Campus and Residential Services team to provide additional support to both the Campus Services and Porters teams. The post holder will contribute towards delivering an excellent, efficient, and customer orientated service.
The post is for 20 hours per week on a 5 over 7 contract. Hours will generally be worked Monday to Friday between 7am and 1pm (Start time to be agreed) but occasional weekend work may be required.
Due to the nature of the role, we require Campus Services Assistants to work flexibly across both teams as required.
Tasks may include vacuuming, floor mopping, carpet cleaning, and rubbish removal on all University sites. In addition, the post holder will assist the Portering team with room set ups, furniture moving, parcel delivery and waste collection as needed.
Experience is not essential as full training will be given
Key requirements
1. Knowledge of basic cleaning tasks
2. Knowledge of basic health and safety requirements
3. Able to work as part of a team.
