Brownlee Cale are working with a Civil Engineering firm based in the North East to hire an Assistant Buyer to support the purchasing function of current and upcoming civils projects.\nResponsibities:\n * Support senior buyer team in sourcing and purchasing materials, plant and services required for civil engineering projects\n * Issue purchase orders and track progress to ensure on-time delivery to sites\n * Liaise with site teams, suppliers and subcontractors to manage supply chain requirements and address delivery issues\n * Maintain and update procurement databases, supplier records and price lists\n * Monitor stock levels and coordinate restocking\n * Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and industry regulations\nRequired Skills & Qualifications:\n * Previous experience within a procurement or assistant buyer role, within construction/Civil Engineering\n * Familiarity with materials, plant hire and services relevant to civil engineering projects\n * Strong organisational and negotiation abilities\n * Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software\n * Full UK Driving Licence\nDesirable:\n * CIPS qualification or working towards\n * Knowledge of environmental and sustainability considerations in procurement\nIf this position is of interest to you, please contact Amy at Brownlee Cale or apply below
