Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant – Chesterfield
Location: Chesterfield Salary: £89.38–£95 per day Contract: Full-time, Long-Term Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner if you're ready!)

We’re looking for a calm, kind, and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school in Chesterfield. The role is all about connection—supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them feel safe, seen, and ready to learn.
What you’ll be doing:
* Providing 1:1 support to pupils with ASD and communication needs
* Creating a positive and structured learning environment
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists
* Using your instincts (and patience!) to help students feel secure
* Helping pupils develop both academically and emotionally
What we’re looking for:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEND
* A calm, supportive approach (even when things get wobbly)
* A team player who’s confident using their initiative
* A passion for making learning inclusive and accessible
