Job overview
The Procurement team provides procurement, commercial, logistics and supply chain services to the Trust. The Purchasing officer will be expected to build strong and effective relationships with clinical colleagues and to work collaboratively in order to make sure purchase orders procured through efinancials meet trust SFIs and are value for money. He/she will liaise on a continuous basis with colleagues in wards and theatres to provide an effective customer service support for all purchase order queries.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for managing all non-catalogue orders from efinancials.
Deal with customer service queries, internal and external, including orders queries, product prices queries, placing visa card orders on behalf of the trust, helping to set up new suppliers onto the trust’s efinancial portal.
Communicate with staff of all levels and undertake necessary changes to the trust catalogue
Investigate queries regarding receipt of goods and act appropriately to the satisfaction of the trust.
