Description
To work under the direction of more experienced members of the Actuarial team to assist with the implementation of a robust and well documented capital model; the development and efficient delivery of quarterly reserving exercises; and to provide ongoing assistance and support to other members of the actuarial team as required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with the development and parameterisation of the syndicate capital models including making changes in ReMetrica.
2. Perform validation tests on the syndicate capital models
3. Provide ‘first cut’ draft of Solvency II Technical Provisions and Standard Formulas for allocated syndicates.
4. Provide assistance and support to other Actuarial project work as required
5. Develop an understanding of the risks and controls relevant to the actuarial function, operate within the prescribed procedures and guidelines and report / discuss issues with my line manager.

2. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to all issues affecting the department
3. Good organisational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
4. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across the business
5. Good written and verbal communication skills
6. Educated to degree level with a minimum 2:1 in a mathematical and / or scientific and / or financial discipline.
7. Intermediate/advanced MS Excel skills
8. Willingness to learn and commit to progressing the actuarial qualification.
