Job Opportunity: Working Foreman
Our Lindum BMS (Building Maintenance Services) division specialises in new build and refurbishment construction projects up to £2m, as well as planned and reactive minor works and maintenance jobs in the Lincoln area and surrounding regions.
An opportunity has arisen for a Working Foreman to join our busy minor works team. The role involves directly supervising minor construction projects such as small extensions, internal and external refurbishment works, re-roofs, drainage, civils, and tarmac projects.
Requirements
* Trade experience, ideally in joinery, bricklaying, groundworks, with a good understanding of all construction trades and techniques to ensure high-quality work. (This role will be 80% on the tools)
* Ability to manage a site team and on-site labour is essential.
* Manage workload, organise, and coordinate works according to a programme and construction drawings.
* Ability to work to the Group’s quality and safety standards. A current SSSTS or SMSTS qualification and other in-date safety training would be advantageous.
* Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and motivate site teams are crucial.
* Full driving licence is essential, as the role involves travel to various site locations in the region.
While supervisory experience is preferred, applications from experienced tradespeople seeking to advance into supervisory roles are also welcome.
Additional Details
* The position is full-time, 45 hours per week, from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional overtime.
* A driving licence is required for working around the Lincolnshire area, up to an hour from our head office in Lincoln.
