Are you an experienced HR professional ready to make a real impact? Join Sheffield City Council as an HR Consultant and play a key role in delivering expert case management support across a diverse and dynamic organisation.
In this senior role, you’ll:
* Provide a professional, risk-based HR consultancy service to managers, focusing on complex case management in all areas of people management practice.
* Advise and support on formal procedures, ensuring best practice and consistent application of policy and employment law.
* Lead and contribute to employee relations, supporting positive outcomes and effective resolution of cases.
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver business-focused HR solutions and drive continuous improvement in people management.
We’re looking for someone with strong interpersonal and influencing skills, experience in large, complex organisations, and a proven ability to manage sensitive cases with professionalism and integrity.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
