Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated leader to drive and inspire a Projects team. The role involves identifying new opportunities, managing tenders, and delivering projects to the highest standards of client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to the Projects team.

Develop and manage departmental budgets to achieve financial targets.
*
Foster a customer-focused environment and maintain strong client relationships.
*
Support business development by nurturing client connections and contributing to the sales pipeline.
*
Deliver financial reviews and forecasts to senior management.
*
Oversee appraisals, performance reviews, training, and staff development.
*
Manage team administration including holiday and sickness records.
*
Ensure projects are staffed with fully competent personnel and sub-contractors.
*
Deliver projects within agreed budgets and timeframes, maximising profitability and client satisfaction.
*
Monitor and manage regulatory, commercial, and contractual risks.
*
Ensure compliance with all relevant quality, safety, health, and environmental policies.
*
Ensure accurate, timely, and professional correspondence and reporting.
*
Apply technical expertise to deliver best-value solutions and sustainable outcomes for clients.
*
Stay updated with industry knowledge through training, seminars, and courses.

Proven experience in financial and commercial management within operations.
*
Strong leadership and team motivation skills, with the ability to exceed targets.

Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
*
Experience in resolving contractual issues.
*
Relevant qualification in mechanical, electrical, or air conditioning engineering.
*
Minimum 5 years’ experience in delivering Mechanical & Electrical projects valued between £100K and £1.5m.
*
Skilled in managing subcontractors and project teams.
*
Demonstrated ability to identify, specify, tender, and negotiate new work opportunities.
*
