Job Description:

Join Our Growing Team at The Chelsea Psychology Clinic!

We are a vibrant, multidisciplinary team at The Chelsea Psychology Clinic (TCPC), dedicated to providing exceptional mental health care. With a mix of experienced psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and other health professionals, we offer a supportive and collaborative environment where your expertise and personal growth are valued.

As our clinic continues to evolve and grow, we are constantly seeking to recruit new clinicians, to meet the increasing demand for our services and to support the diverse needs of our clients.

Exciting Opportunity for a HCPC Registered Child & Adolescent Clinical or Counselling Psychologist

We’re looking for a compassionate, experienced Child & Adolescent Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our Child, Young Persons and Family team. If you're passionate about making a real impact on the mental health of children and young people and enjoy working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, we want to hear from you.

Job Title: Child & Adolescent Clinical or Counselling Psychologist

Annual Leave: 27-32 days + bank holidays (pro-rated)

Benefits: Health insurance, pension scheme, supervision, and CPD opportunities

Contract: Permanent (subject to probationary period)

Accountable To: Directors of Clinical Services & Head of Child & Family Pathway

DBS Check: Enhanced Level of Disclosure

Location: Central London

Why Join Us?

* Impactful Work with Young People: Work with children and young people from diverse backgrounds, supporting them through a range of mental health challenges in an environment that’s both nurturing and evidence-based.
* Ongoing Development: We prioritize your growth with monthly supervision, peer groups, quarterly team events, and continuous professional development opportunities to support your evolving career.
* Collaborative, Supportive Environment: At TCPC, you’ll be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team. You’ll work closely with a dedicated Assistant Psychologist and our billing team to ensure you can focus on what you do best—providing high-quality therapeutic interventions.
* Work-Life Balance: We offer flexibility, understanding the needs of both clients and clinicians. As you’ll be working with a younger population, this may involve late afternoon/evening or Saturday appointments, and we welcome your input on availability during the application process.

Key Responsibilities

As a Child and Adolescent Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, your role will be central to providing specialist psychological services to children and young people (CYP) at TCPC. Your responsibilities will include:

* Assessment, formulation, and evidence-based interventions for CYP with a variety of mental health difficulties.
* Delivering individual therapy tailored to each young person’s unique needs, with flexibility and creativity.
* Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams both within and outside of the clinic to provide holistic care.
* Managing a caseload that aligns with your availability, with the expectation of working at least one late afternoon/evening or weekend clinic per week.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a psychologist with a strong background in working with children and young people (ages 5+), ideally in CAMHS or private mental health settings. Key qualities include:

* Experience with complex presentations and neurodevelopmental conditions.
* A passion for helping young people through creative and flexible therapeutic interventions.
* A commitment to working in a team environment, collaborating with other professionals to deliver the best care possible.
