We are on the lookout for a talented Senior Environmental Health Officer to lead the way in tackling environmental issues that matter to our communities.
This is a key role within our Environmental Protection Team, where no two days are the same. You will deal with complex cases across statutory nuisance, noise, air quality, contaminated land and environmental permitting. You'll be a technical expert a mentor and a problem solver - helping us drive high standards in innovative solutions across the district.

What you'll be doing:
* Leading complex investigations into noise pollution nuisance and air quality issues.
* Taking enforcement action where needed drafting notices preparing court reports and giving evidence.
* Providing expert advice to residents, businesses developers and members.
* Mentoring and supporting junior officers and helping the team thrive.
* Managing projects that push forward our environmental objectives. Representing the Council at meetings panels and public forums.
What we're looking for:
* A qualified EHORB registered Environmental Health Officer with a minimum of 5yrs post qualification experience in relevant Environmental Health disciplines.
* In-depth knowledge of key legislation.
* Proven enforcement experience, confident preparing legal cases and appearing in court Flexible proactive attitude with excellent communication skills ability to manage competing priorities and lead from the front.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

We work flexibly in Warwick, and support working at home or flexible working patterns that enable you to tailor your working and personal life. You will be expected to be based in the office on at least one day a week (Mon-Fri on a rota basis), attend meetings as required and be available for the occasional out of hours work, sometimes at the weekend to respond to complaints. (Approximately 10 times a year).
