BSL Support Assistants (x2) – Grimsby Area

GSL Education Ltd are looking to recruit two BSL Support Assistants to work at a college in the Grimsby area. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide 1:1 support for students who are deaf, ensuring they can access learning and thrive in their studies.
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 in-class support for deaf students, enabling full participation in lessons and activities.
* Use British Sign Language (BSL) or sign-supported communication to interpret and facilitate understanding.
* Work alongside teaching staff to adapt materials and ensure learning is accessible.
* Support students’ independence, confidence, and engagement in both academic and social settings.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold a BSL qualification or be fluent in British Sign Language / sign-supported communication.
* Have experience supporting young people in an educational setting (preferred but not essential).
* Be patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusive education.
* Be able to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply through GSL Education Ltd).
