We're working with a values-led housing organisation supporting communities across North Wales and Powys. They're looking for an Income Collection Officer who brings empathy, resilience, and a genuinely people-first approach.
This is a role where conversations matter. Where you'll be trusted to balance compassion with accountability, and where your work has a direct impact on people's lives.
The role
You'll be managing rent accounts and supporting tenants to maintain sustainable tenancies, including:
* Managing rent arrears and agreeing realistic repayment plans
* Supporting tenants with affordability and access to financial support
* Visiting tenants in their homes when needed
* Working closely with housing teams and external partners (e.g. DWP, local authorities)
* Representing the organisation where required, including court attendance
* Keeping systems and records accurate and up to date
It's varied, people-focused work where no two days are the same.
What we're looking for
* Experience supporting customers, clients or service users
* Confidence handling sensitive conversations and challenging situations
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
* A genuine commitment to customer care and community impact
* Welsh speaking (essential for this role)
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential)
Experience within housing, income management or debt recovery would be a bonus, but not essential.
