The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with ASD needs and other additional requirements. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SENCo to help students access the curriculum, develop independence, and achieve their highest potential through 1:1 and small group support, implementing IEPs, adapting resources, and encouraging social and emotional development. The SEN Teaching Assistant role includes monitoring progress, supporting behaviour management, supervising students during breaks, and providing personal care where required. The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have school experience, an understanding of SEN, strong communication skills, and a patient, resilient approach, with experience in PECS and Makaton.
