Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Design Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our Structural and Geotechnical Engineering team, working on exciting infrastructure projects for clients like the Environment Agency, Severn Trent, and the Mining Remediation Authority.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Reviewing and clarifying technical requirements to ensure full understanding
* Contributing to the development of fee proposals
* Leading the daily workload of engineers and technical staff, ensuring compliance with design remits
* Maintaining adherence to legal requirements and company policies, including CDM Regulations
* Managing project finances, including progress monitoring and change control, to enhance Kier's competitive position
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have:
* Experience in design delivery, with the ability to manage uncertainty and technical risk
* Postgraduate experience in hydraulic structures and river engineering, or similar
* Aiming for Chartered or Incorporated membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., CEng MICE)
* A valid driving license for site visits
