What You’ll Be Doing
Working alongside teachers and school staff, you’ll provide essential classroom support to pupils with a range of academic, social, and behavioural needs.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils during lessons to maintain focus and engagement
Assisting with literacy and numeracy activities
Promoting positive behaviour through consistency and clear expectations
Helping create a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Collaborating with teachers and wider school staff
This is a practical role where your support will have a direct impact on pupils’ progress and confidence.

Formal qualifications aren’t required — your attitude and reliability are what matter most.

Calm, dependable, and resilient
Positive and confident role models
Flexible across different school settings
Strong communicators who work well within a team
Experience in education, childcare, coaching, youth work, or care settings is beneficial but not essential. A willingness to learn and get involved is key.

Essential Requirement
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as travel between schools in the Thetford and Breckland area may be required at short notice.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
