Band 2 Health Centre Receptionists - Relief

We have an opportunity within BCHC Trust HQ based in the Aston area, to appoint a part-time Relief receptionist.

Priestly Wharf, located in the Aston University area, is one of our most established sites hosting several BCHC services. We seek hardworking, reliable, and friendly staff. This position is part-time, Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week, 08:30-12:30, based at 3 Priestley Wharf Headquarters.

The Relief receptionist may work up to 37.5 hours per week if required, to cover another full-time receptionist at Priestley Wharf, and must be willing to travel to cover other Health Centres around Birmingham. Flexibility with short notice regarding working hours and locations is essential. Candidates must have a full clean driving license and a car (fuel expenses paid, discussed during interview).

The successful candidate must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, be motivated and enthusiastic to ensure a quality and efficient service to clinical teams. Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and work under pressure to meet deadlines is required.


Main duties of the job

You should have excellent keyboard skills and a working knowledge of Windows-based computer packages, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

An awareness of confidentiality and equality issues in a Clinical Support Services environment is necessary.

The post may require duties at other centers across the trust due to service demand and changes, which will be discussed and agreed upon prior to any changes.

Evidence of necessary qualifications will be required at interview; without this, interviews will not be conducted.

Person Specification


QUALIFICATIONS

* RSA 1 or typing skills or equivalent
* IT Literacy (familiar with Microsoft packages and Internet)
* Customer Service Training/Experience
* Good command of English


EXPERIENCE

* Relevant reception/customer service experience, preferably within healthcare


SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

* Ability to prioritize
* Ability to work independently
* Use of initiative
* Excellent telephone manner
* Calmness under pressure


PERSONAL QUALITIES
