About the Role:
Are you a passionate and experienced Registered Home Manager ready to launch and lead a new children's home? We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team and provide high-quality care and leadership within a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment. You ll be instrumental in setting up the service, building a strong team, and ensuring compliance with the Children s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage and develop a new children's residential home, ensuring it achieves Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings.
* Oversee all aspects of the home's daily operations, including staffing, budgeting, safeguarding, and care planning.
* Promote the welfare, education, health and emotional wellbeing of children aged 8 17 with complex needs and trauma histories.
* Ensure all children have individualised placement plans and receive consistent, therapeutic support.
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with local authorities, social workers, families, and regulatory bodies.
* Recruit, supervise, and appraise staff, ensuring they receive relevant training and development opportunities.
* Maintain a safe, structured, and homely environment that supports young people s recovery, development, and aspirations.
About You:
* NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Leadership & Management (Residential Childcare)
* Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered or Deputy Manager within a children's residential setting.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, therapeutic approaches, and Ofsted requirements.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
* Confident in managing referrals, placement planning, staff rotas, budgets, and regulatory inspections.
* Able to provide out-of-hours support on a rota basis.
