Robert Half is currently recruiting a Financial Accountant to take ownership of the financial management and compliance of the group's international entities. This pivotal role ensures alignment with local accounting and tax regulations, while working closely with external service providers and serving as a technical expert and strategic advisor across the business. Location: Central Bristol
Duration: 12 Month FTC
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 (Depending on experience)
Role: Financial Accountant
Hybrid:1 /2 days in the office
Key Responsibilities:
1. Review monthly management reports, post journal entries, and perform reconciliations for international entities.
2. Manage tax compliance and coordinate statutory audits.
3. Maintain strong financial controls and oversee balance sheet management.
4. Provide technical accounting and tax guidance to internal stakeholders.
5. Manage relationships with external accountants and service providers, including tracking performance and costs.
6. Drive continuous improvement and lead or support finance-related projects.
7. Informally mentor junior finance team members and share best practices.
Key Requirements:
8. Strong knowledge of international accounting and tax compliance.
9. Experience managing external service providers and international financial operations.
10. Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and cultures.
11. Proactive mindset with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications & Experience
12. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a relevant degree or equivalent experience
13. Strong background in supporting international entities and managing external advisors
14. Experience leading audits and engaging with auditors
15. Proven ability to streamline processes and advise management on financial matters
