Title: Commercial Account Manager

About the Role
The Commercial Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy in line with business objectives, while managing and growing a portfolio of customer accounts. The role has a strong focus on new business development, revenue growth, and long-term relationship building within the food and feed ingredients sector across the UK and Republic of Ireland. This is a remote-based position with regular travel to clients and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive revenue growth and deliver against sales and P&L targets.
* Develop new customer accounts and identify new commercial opportunities.
* Manage existing client relationships, including regular communication, meetings, and follow-ups.
* Prepare commercial offers, quotations, and pricing structures, including Incoterms.
* Negotiate and manage sales contracts, including commercial terms and execution.
* Prepare sales forecasts, performance updates, and pipeline reporting.
* Work closely with operations and procurement teams to achieve sales, margin, and delivery objectives.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand to inform commercial strategy.
* Represent the business at trade exhibitions and industry events, including preparation and client engagement.
* Ensure compliance with relevant organic standards and food safety requirements within commercial activities.
Key Skills
* Proven experience in a commercial, sales, or account management role within a B2B environment
* Strong understanding of commercial and sales processes, ideally within food ingredients, feed, agriculture, or commodities.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Commercially minded with strong problem-solving skills.
* Experience with international trade or ingredient supply chains is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous
