Operations & Finance Assistant

£27,000 – £35,000 per annum (DOE)

We’re looking for a highly organised Operations & Finance Assistant to join a growing team where collaboration, trust and a supportive working culture are genuinely valued.
This role sits at the heart of the business operations team. You’ll work closely with the Head of Operations and Finance Manager to keep projects, orders and logistics running smoothly. From coordinating international shipments to supporting operational processes and maintaining accurate records, you’ll play an important part in ensuring the day-to-day side of the business runs efficiently.

The Role
You’ll support the operations team across a variety of tasks including logistics coordination, order management and administrative support.
Typical responsibilities include:
* Coordinating international and domestic shipping of goods
* Preparing and managing shipping and customs documentation
* Tracking shipments and keeping internal teams updated on delivery progress
* Managing operational records including serial number registers
* Maintaining accurate information within internal systems and CRM platforms
* Supporting with invoicing and purchase order management
* Liaising with production teams for order updates
* Monitoring stock records and supporting stock reconciliation
* Processing incoming invoices and receipts
* Supporting general operational and administrative processes across the team
What We’re Looking For
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
* Confident communicator who enjoys working with different teams
* Comfortable learning and using new software systems
* Able to follow established processes while also using initiative
* A team player who takes pride in supporting others and keeping things running smoothly
Useful Experience (Not Essential)
* Exposure to logistics or shipping coordination
* Experience working with ERP systems or CRM platforms
* Familiarity with Xero or finance systems
Full training will be provided for the right person.
Working Environment
The role is based in the Benton office, just outside Newcastle city centre. Once you’re settled into the role, there is flexibility for 1–2 days working from home, depending on business needs.
