From 6 April 2026, HMRCs new labour supply chain rules introduce joint and several liability for PAYE income tax (and related obligations) in certain labour supply chains, making robust compliance and assurance more important than ever. The opportunity We are growing our compliance capability and are looking for a Compliance Officer to support day-to-day compliance activity across our agency supply chain. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organising information, following up actions, and keeping records clear and audit-ready, with a real eye for detail. We offer hybrid working. What you will be doing Maintain accurate compliance records and keep documentation organised with clear version control and review dates Collect and check timesheets and PAYE evidence, ensuring timesheet and pay evidence align (for example worker identity, dates, hours, and assignment details) and flagging discrepancies promptly Keep a clear evidence trail of what has been received, what checks were completed, and any gaps or exceptions, using our systems and workflows Chase missing or late evidence and escalate recurring issues or material concerns to the Compliance Manager Support enhanced monitoring for higher-risk agencies, tracking exceptions through to closure Monitor agency credit risk, maintaining and updating the CreditSafe risk register and flagging changes promptly Provide regular updates and support improvements, helping to reduce delays and improve data quality while maintaining strong audit trails About You Essential: Experience in an administrative, operations, compliance support, recruitment compliance, payroll admin, or supplier management role Strong organisation and follow-through, comfortable managing multiple actions, deadlines, and stakeholders High attention to detail and confidence working with evidence and audit trails Confident communicator who can chase outstanding items firmly but professionally Comfortable learning and using systems to manage compliance workflows (including HubSpot and Moxo) Able to apply practical checks that support PAYE assurance (for example aligning timesheets to pay evidence) Desirable: Experience working with timesheets in a contingent labour or agency environment Experience maintaining a risk register and supporting enhanced monitoring activity Comfortable working with basic credit and risk information (for example CreditSafe checks) Basic understanding of UK payroll concepts (PAYE and RTI) in an agency supply chain context How you will work You will be proactive and comfortable owning your workload end to end, calm and solutions-focused and discreet when handling sensitive information.
