The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supporting the mechanical installation of photovoltaic (PV) trackers, fixed tilt, floating, and special structures (carport) on a large-scale solar project. To ensure that work is executed according to the manufacturer’s installation manual, project specifications, and safety standards. The role requires close collaboration with the site manager, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
Key Tasks
* Oversee material delivery from suppliers
* Monitor installation works, including piling, upper structure, module installation, and cable dressing
* Coordinate with stakeholders such as engineering and surveyors
* Supervise mechanical works and monitor lifting activities
* Ensure quality inspections of materials (gravel, concrete, steel, etc.)
* Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
* Conduct inspections and maintain documentation of works
* Maintain the quality management system
* Support weekly and monthly progress reporting
* Report delays and breaches
Requirements
* Technical education in construction or mechanical engineering
* 1-3 years of experience in construction, preferably in PV, but wind, gas, and oil are also suitable
* Strong expertise in construction
* Proficiency in MS Office
* Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of German, Spanish, French, Italian, or Dutch is a plus
* Ability to manage multiple technical tasks and stakeholders
* Familiarity with construction and logistics of solar projects
* Technical understanding of solar PV
* Willingness to travel up to 99%
