CNC Machinist (5-Axis) – Glasgow
We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists with strong 5-axis milling experience to join a high-precision engineering and manufacturing team based in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing quality components and wants to further develop within a supportive, modern machining environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up, program, and operate 5-axis milling machines to produce high-precision components.
* Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy.
* Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
* Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning to keep machines operating effectively.
* Inspect finished components to ensure they meet required standards.
* Troubleshoot minor issues to minimise downtime.
* Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to improve processes.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.

Experience & Qualifications
* Proven CNC machining experience, ideally with significant 5-axis milling background.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Competency in machine programming and operation.
* Experience working on precision components and meeting tight tolerances.
* Good understanding of machine maintenance and hand tool use.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S principles is advantageous.
