Overview
A valuable opportunity is available for an experienced Speciality Doctor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join a supportive and well-established team. This is a permanent post, based at Glangwili General Hospital, in Carmarthen, with travel to other sites for clinical duties expected. The Health Board places a strong emphasis on teaching, research, quality improvement, and effective multidisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities
* Supervision of all admissions to the Wards, clinical investigation, diagnosis and treatment of all patients admitted to Obstetrics & Gynaecology Wards, and assisting the Consultants in running the Outpatient Clinics.
* Participation in regular audit meetings and postgraduate teaching sessions held by the appropriate Consultants.
* Work in close cooperation and liaison with colleagues both within and outside of the organisation, in multi-professional and multidisciplinary team environments.
* Maintaining a high standard of note-keeping; clear communication with other staff; presentations at weekly clinical case conferences; carrying out audits; and involvement in teaching junior staff and other professionals.
