Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in Tarbert Power Station.
Salary: €65,300 - €97,900 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role
As Senior E&I Engineer, you’ll provide professional engineering support for Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) equipment, ensuring plant and systems operate safely, reliably and efficiently. You’ll help maintain asset integrity and performance to meet business requirements in the short, medium and long term. As a key member of the engineering team, you’ll contribute to station strategy and support delivery of the station business plan.
Responsibilities
* Manage an agreed programme of work during unit overhauls and projects, from scope definition through to execution, commissioning and close‑out, ensuring delivery to budget, quality, timescales and technical requirements.
* Contribute to an effective engineering and maintenance structure, enabling the team to meet agreed targets and make best use of station and contractor resources.
* Provide technical advice and support to the Production team to optimise plant operation and maintain the technical health of the asset.
* Develop and deliver an engineering strategy informed by risk assessment, setting appropriate standards and driving best practice and continuous improvement.
* Support fault investigation and problem solving for EC&I systems, identifying root cause and implementing effective corrective and preventative actions.
Qualifications
* A proven background and experience operating within a similar role.
* A strong understanding of business processes required to operate, maintain and control power plant systems.
* Confidence in building effective working relationships with suppliers and contractors, focusing on service, quality and continuous improvement.
* An understanding of how to use data to support decision‑making and improve performance.
* A demonstrable commitment to safety, integrity and collaboration.
