Job Description:
Visual Merchandising Manager working for a global Beauty brand.
Location: Ideally based near Glasgow due to the head office, but open to London/UK-based candidates willing to travel to HQ once a month, with expenses covered.
Start date: Beginning of September, 3-month FTC, likely extendable to 6 months.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Visual Merchandising, the VM Manager manages and supports the delivery of the client's global Visual Merchandising strategy by collaborating with stakeholders, developing fixture and event designs, and ensuring brand message consistency across retail channels. The goal is to create innovative retail experiences aligned with brand and business objectives across all physical distribution points.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage VM execution and store expression per brand guidelines, collaborating with stakeholders on POS materials for all distribution points.
* Create CPAs/schedules, assess risks for VM projects.
* Maintain the VM Master List for all projects, flag risks, and suggest solutions.
* Coordinate retailer reset/rebuild updates and promotions with the VM calendar to ensure timely delivery.
* Develop VM design briefs based on input from sales, marketing, and retail partners.
* Create planograms, optimize shelf productivity, and understand POS manufacturing processes.
* Handle POs, track CAPEX/OPEX costs, and maintain VM budgets.
Role Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years experience in Visual Merchandising, preferably in Beauty or FMCG.
* Bachelor's Degree in Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or Visual Merchandising.
* Strong technical knowledge of VM, manufacturing, and external suppliers.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings.
* Experience in project management for large-scale projects.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
* Confident in creating and presenting VM proposals to stakeholders, sharing risks and solutions.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and design software like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Cinema4D, AutoCAD, Fusion.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder relationship management.
