As a Manual Miller, you’ll machine detailed components from engineering drawings, working confidently to fine tolerances in a performance-driven environment. Key responsibilities for the Manual Miller:
Interpret engineering drawings and plan manufacturing methods
Select tooling, fixtures and work-holding equipment
Produce components using manual milling machinery to precise specifications
Complete first-off inspections and maintain quality documentation
Support production targets and record accurate set/run times
Maintain tooling, gauging and work areas to a high standard
Follow company procedures, lean practices and all safety requirements
Work with Production Engineering to maximise efficiency
Essential skills for the Manual Miller:
Proven experience in Manual Milling within a precision engineering environment
Strong attention to detail with a proactive, dependable approach
Clear communication skills
Able to work independently as well as within a team
Comfortable working to deadlines while maintaining accuracy
Basic PC literacy
