Schools in Barnsley and GSL Education are hiring a dedicated Cover Supervisor (CS) to support the smooth running of lessons during teacher absence. In this role, you will supervise classes using pre-prepared materials, ensure students remain engaged with their work, and support positive behaviour across the classroom. You will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning throughout the school day. Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor: Supervise lessons in the absence of the class teacher. Deliver and support pre-set learning activities. Maintain positive behaviour and classroom control. Support pupils in staying on task and engaged. Follow safeguarding and school behaviour policies. Essential Requirements: Previous experience working with young people or in a school setting. Strong behaviour management and communication skills. Confident, organised, and proactive approach.
