Title: Clinical Psychologist
Location: Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital - Bromley (London)
Contract Length: 6 Months
Hours: Full-Time - 5 Days per Week (Monday to Friday)
Start Date: Immediate Start Available
Rate: Competitive Locum Rates (DOE)
Essential Requirements:
* Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy or equivalent).
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Previous experience working within inpatient mental health settings.
* Experience working with complex mental health presentations.
* Strong formulation, assessment, and therapeutic intervention skills.
* Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of patients presenting with complex mental health conditions.
* Develop psychological formulations to inform individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans.
* Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions on an individual and group basis.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including Psychiatrists, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Support Workers.
* Provide psychological consultation and support to ward staff to enhance patient care and treatment outcomes.
* Contribute to risk assessments and risk management planning.
* Participate in MDT meetings, ward rounds, CPA reviews, and discharge planning processes.
* Support the development and delivery of psychologically informed care across the service.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
* Provide supervision and guidance where appropriate to Assistant Psychologists and other healthcare professionals.

* Bipolar disorder.
* Personality disorders.
* Complex trauma presentations.
* Treatment-resistant mental illness.
* Rehabilitation and recovery-focused care needs.
