MPA Healthcare are recruiting Day Care Support Workers on Behalf of our Clients in the Southern trust Area. The support worker will work as a member of a team within day services meeting the assessed needs of individual adult service users with learning/physical/sensory disabilities accessing day services which will be centre based .
Job Duties
* Assist in meeting the complex support needs of individual people with learning disabilities. This may include all aspects of intimate and personal care, assistance with eating and drinking.
* Assist people with learning disabilities with a flexible transport service throughout the day.
* Assist in the assessment, planning and implementation and record progress etc of individual and group packages of support designed to enhance and maximise the capabilities and independence of the individual.
* To work as required throughout Day Support Services with people with learning disabilities within the Trust.
* Ensure that all legislation, policies and procedures and strategies are appropriately implemented and adhered to at all times.
Qualifications/Experience
* 6 months recent experience in a similar healthcare setting
* Must be NISCC registered or willing to apply.
* Must be willing to complete an Access NI check.
