The role
As HR Advisor, you’ll provide day-to-day and specialist HR advice to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, managers, and key decision-makers. You’ll manage a varied caseload covering employee relations matters such as disciplinaries, grievances, capability, sickness absence, and organisational change.
* Provide generalist HR advice to managers across a range of areas including employee relations, recruitment, performance, attendance, wellbeing, and organisational change
* Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and trade union representatives
* Manage a varied HR caseload, ensuring timely and accurate case handling
* Work closely with senior colleagues to support delivery of HR programmes, including audits, training, briefings, and policy updates
* Support client retention through strong relationship management with key stakeholders
* Ensure risks are appropriately managed and escalated to minimise reputational impact
* Maintain accurate records and logs of HR advice and casework
* Support HR projects and assignments, including work on client sites where required
* Stay up to date with employment law and HR best practice, applying changes effectively
* Assist in developing HR resources and materials to support service delivery
* Provide administrative support across the HR function, including DBS and safeguarding checks
* Draft correspondence and attend meetings or hearings for employee relations cases as required
* Support smooth handovers of cases within the HR team to ensure continuity of service
* Undertake client visits to provide advice and support where appropriate
* Attend and contribute to formal meetings in line with experience and capability
We’re looking for someone who is:
* CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards)
* Experienced in generalist HR and employee relations casework
* Comfortable advising managers and senior stakeholders
* Confident working in a fast-paced, multi-client environment
* Knowledgeable in employment law and HR best practice
* Organised, resilient, and solutions-focused
* A strong communicator who builds trust quickly
