Enfield Legal Services is recruiting an entry-level lawyer, Property Lawyer/ILEX/Licensed Conveyancer, to handle a varied caseload supporting regeneration projects, residential acquisitions/disposals, Right to Buy disposals, licenses, leases, title work, and basic planning section 106 agreements/unilateral undertakings.
This role is suitable for someone transitioning from a private law firm or charity sector to local government, or returning after a career break. It offers an opportunity to join a friendly, committed, and highly regarded in-house legal team, contributing to the borough's quality of life and sustainability.
We seek a newly qualified solicitor, barrister, legal executive, licensed conveyancer, or equivalent with an interest and experience in property work. You should be a team player, self-motivated, flexible, with exceptional communication skills. You will receive support to learn the practice area and manage your own caseload, working to tight deadlines with the necessary support to succeed. A good understanding of conveyancing law and practice is required, though not necessarily in a local authority context, along with strong drafting skills.

This position is classified as a flexible worker, requiring 2 days of office attendance per week. During the probationary period, office attendance may be up to 5 days per week to support learning and performance.
