About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Swindon. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and a better quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting support
* Assist with mobility, helping clients move safely around their home or care setting
* Support clients with eating and drinking, ensuring dietary needs are met.
* Offer companionship and emotional support to promote well-being
* Administer or assist with prescribed medications (where trained and authorised).
* Monitor and record clients' health, behaviour, and progress, reporting any concerns to supervisors.
* Help with light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
* Support clients in maintaining independence and dignity at all times.
* Accompany clients to appointments, activities, or social outings as required.
* Follow care plans and adhere to health and safety, safeguarding, and confidentiality policies.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a care or support role (preferred, but not essential – training can be provided).
* A caring, patient, and empathetic nature.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
