Salary: £39,129 - £46,023

4 days on, 4 days off
Key Responsibilities
* Managing multiple sites on either the East or West of the city, ensuring the HWRC and WTS in the area run efficiently, safely and within Waste Management Licence conditions at all times.
* Managing a team of site staff, drivers and plant operators, ensuring high levels of customer service and staff performance at all times.
* Record keeping and ensuring any issues on site are quickly fixed.
* Producing risk assessments and safe systems of work, delivering Toolbox talks to ensure staff know what is required of them, and ensuring staff abide by correct working procedures.
* Managing staff performance and recruitment, updating the site working plans and liaising with bodies such as SEPA, APHA, Fire Service, HSE and other council services.
* Responsible for the wider depot(s), ensuring staff from other parts of CEC comply with safety rules and that the whole depot operates safely, coordinating with other teams in the council.
Qualifications
* Computer literate, able to interrogate booking systems, deal with enquiries on various systems, log changes on My HR and similar systems, report incidents and use email and other computer systems to a proficient level.
* Holder of a Certificate of Technical Competency (COTC) level 4 in Transfer of Hazardous Waste or ability to gain this qualification within two years of employment commencing.
