In this role, the Design Engineer will create bespoke pump systems for blue-chip clients, taking projects from the first 3D CAD concept through to final technical blueprints. You'll be the bridge between the customer and the workshop, ensuring every design is accurately tested, parts are correctly sourced, and the final prototype is built to perfection.
The ideal candidate will be a design engineer or an engineering graduate with 3D CAD or SolidWorks experience. You will have knowledge of the manufacturing design and hold a relevant engineering degree. Experience with turbomachinery or rotating machines is highly desirable.

The Role:
1. Design Engineer of bespoke pump systems for reputable, blue chip clients
2. Understand customer requirements, and maintain communication throughout to resolve issues and update on progress
3. Create concept designs using CAD and carry out validation activities
4. Produce and interpret technical drawings for bespoke pump systems using GD&T
5. Liaise closely with production team to resolve manufacturing issues and oversee prototype builds
6. Write specifications for purchasing team and liaise with suppliers
7. Training on bespoke products and personal development plan
8. Office based role
The Person:
9. Design Engineer or Graduate
10. Degree in an engineering discipline, or proven relevant experience
11. Experience in 3D CAD Modelling (ideally SolidWorks)
12. Understanding of the manufacturing process
13. Experience with turbomachinery or rotating machines beneficial
14. Strong communication and client-facing skills
