Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Business Development Manager. As the first commercial hire, you will be a foundational pillar of our growth. You will be responsible for the entire sales lifecycle, from identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to building and maintaining long-term client relationships. You will develop and execute strategies to drive business growth, conduct market research, create compelling business proposals, and collaborate directly with the technical founder to ensure client needs are met and exceeded.
Compensation & Benefits
This package is designed to reward performance and offer significant growth potential.
* Base Salary: £28,000—£32,000 per year (dependent on experience).
* On-Target Earnings (OTE): £60,000—£80,000+ in your first year.
* Commission: Uncapped performance-based commission structure, offering substantial earning potential directly tied to your success.
* Salary Growth: A formal review to significantly increase the base salary upon achieving initial, clearly defined revenue milestones.
* Work Arrangement: Fully remote, full-time, permanent role.

Qualifications
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a B2B environment.
* Experience in creating business proposals, managing client relationships, and conducting market research.
* Essential: Demonstrable experience in business development within the technology consulting, IoT, or hardware sector.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for clients.
* An entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, self-starter attitude, comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the sales function.
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
