Person specification
1. Knowledge, skills and training
Essential criteria
1. Experience of supporting people with mental health problems
2. Experience of working in partnership with service users on a one-to-one basis.
3. Experience of working with a range of agencies.
Job specific experience
Essential criteria
4. Understanding of mental health issues and the recovery model approach
5. Ability to work autonomously and use initiative.
6. Ability to work in partnership with service users towards identified goals and needs
7. Understanding of risk factors and how to manage these risks effectively.
8. Good organisational skills and to manage time effectively.
Managerial/supervisory experience
Essential criteria
9. Ability to effectively use support and supervision
10. Experience of working within a team.
Information Technology
Essential criteria
11. Good IT skills, normally obtained through practice or practical training
Educational Requirements / Qualifications

12. A good standard of education, minimum NVQ level 3
