Location: Hybrid – Work from home and from any of our office locations in Selby, Richmond, Scarborough, Malton, Northallerton, Skipton, or Harrogate. Occasional travel to the NYBCP Head Office in Easingwold will be required.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
* Conduct site inspections and assess building plans to ensure full compliance with Building Regulations and associated legislation.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to clients, architects, and developers on compliance, technical standards, and best practices.
* Lead or support enforcement actions and contribute to maintaining high standards of public safety.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure a professional, solution-focused service.
What You’ll Bring
* A good understanding of Building Regulations and relevant legislation (Level 3, 4 or 5 Surveyors welcome).
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Strong organisational ability and attention to detail — able to manage your workload and work independently.
* A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn, adapt, and grow.
* Relevant qualifications (or working towards) in Building Control, Surveying or Construction disciplines.

Additional minimum requirements include:
* Educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as Building Control, Building Surveying, Construction, Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Registered with the Building Safety Regulator to at least Class 2: Building Inspector as per the HSE Building Inspector Competency Framework (BICoF).
* Corporate Member, or working towards, of a relevant professional body such as RICS, CABE, CIOB, or equivalent.
