We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, enthusiastic, and highly specialized Cardiac Physiologist/Clinical Scientist to lead and develop our CRM/Electrophysiology and Invasive service at UHCW Trust.
UHCW is one of the largest acute Trusts in the country, with 17 Cardiology Consultants, providing world-class innovation and research in all aspects of Cardiology.
We perform over 700 EP/Ablation procedures annually, including 3D mapping, Cryo, PFA, SVT EPS, and a substantial VT Ablation Service, along with more than 500 Pacing/ICD and 250 ILR procedures.
Our Catheter Suite offers a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, including PPCI/PCI, TAVI, right and left heart catheterization, structural closures/repairs, and complex device implantation and extraction. We are involved in ongoing research, allowing early adoption of new technologies and procedures.
Future service developments include physiologist-led clinics, such as the existing Physiologist Led VT clinic and a joint Physiologist and Heart Failure Nurse Optimization clinic.
Successful applicants will need to provide an immunisation and vaccination report from their current UK occupational health provider or GP.

Reporting to the Head of Department, the successful candidate will manage a team of Cardiac Physiologists, drive innovation, recruitment, and develop physiologist-led services.
This is a full-time role with clinical and on-call responsibilities. You will work as a highly specialist practitioner across EP, CRM, and invasive procedures and support operational management within the department.
You will contribute to service development, audits, capacity planning, and business case development. Managing budgets and stock levels, ensuring resource utilization, and maintaining BHRS/IBHRE accreditation are also key responsibilities.
You will support protocol and guideline development, ensuring compliance with trust and operational standards.
