Job Description
Job Summary: As a Senior / Principal Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping our client's projects and driving projects forward.
Key Responsibilities:
* Writing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports for planning applications.
* Using AutoCAD, Microdrainage /Flow, Civil 3D for drainage and infrastructure design.
* Liaising with clients and third parties.
* Preparing fee proposals for infrastructure design and flood risk assessments.
* Engaging with stakeholders, project team members, and clients.
* Representing the company at meetings, consultations, and exhibitions.
* Conducting site visits.
* Supporting Environmental teams with construction and environmental management plans.
Candidate Profile:
We seek a highly capable engineer with strong analytical, professional, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is pragmatic, resilient, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality reports are essential. You should be self-motivated and able to work independently.
Qualifications:
* BSc (Hons) or BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering, Geography, or related field, 2.1 or above.
* Committed to professional development, ideally pursuing Chartered status.
* Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
Experience:
* Minimum 5 years UK experience in Highways, Transport, Flood Risk, and Drainage projects.
* Understanding of residential development is advantageous.
* Proven ability to work independently and in teams, with strong problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in design software and report writing.
