Responsibilities: We work alongside experienced engineers in our Fixed Networks division on the design, build and optimisation of large-scale IP networks. We support major projects that keep millions of customers connected. We help diagnose complex issues and improve network performance across the UK. We contribute to designing and testing networks that are secure, resilient and innovative. We work with colleagues to test and validate vendor configurations so they align with our design standards. We explore and evaluate new hardware platforms, line cards and software versions to ensure reliable performance. We create and maintain documentation, including test plans, test cases and test scopes. We help introduce automation to improve efficiency and reduce repetitive tasks. We review test results to identify issues or risks and share insights to support continuous improvement. We collaborate with cross-functional teams to make sure solutions are ready for real-world deployment.
